- This site was home to the former Nova Dye factory. In 2012, a fire ravaged the site and the City worked, utilizing State funding from CT DECD, to demolish the buildings on the lot and perform some initial remediation work.
- The City was granted additional State funding towards the redevelopment of this lot into a City park by CTDEEP.
- Remediation and construction work is complete. A baseball field and community park is open to the public. Presently, Environmental monitoring is ongoing.
- 313 Mill Street Ball Field has been named “George Tirado Sr. Park”
