Rental and Home Owners Assistance Updates

Throughout the pandemic, many have struggled with their rent and utility bills. Fortunately, the UniteCT program was introduced by CT’s DOH to assist those that have fallen on difficult times. The UniteCT program now pays 100% of the tenants’ electricity bills.

New State Program Aims to Assist Homeowners.

Under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Connecticut has been awarded approximately $123 million to establish MyHomeCt, a program funded by the Homeowner Assistance Fund.  The goal of MyHomeCT is to prevent mortgage delinquencies, defaults, and foreclosures among eligible homeowners as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  To learn more about MyHomeCt, visit www.chfa.org/myhomect/
