The former Nova Dye factory site at 313 Mill Street was severely damaged by a fire in 2012. With support from the State of Connecticut, the City cleared the site, completed environmental remediation, and redeveloped the property into a public recreational space. The new park includes a baseball field and open community space and is now open to the public. Environmental monitoring continues as required for former industrial sites.
