After a fire in early 2023, all existing structures at 835 South Main Street and 272 River Street were demolished. Waterbury Development Corporation is now conducting environmental assessment work to determine the level of cleanup required before the site can be reused. Funding has been secured for these assessments, and additional cleanup will occur once the environmental work is complete.
