- This phase of the project will involve removing the bricks, paving, widening, and installing new sidewalks, benches, trash and recycling receptacles, new lights, new traffic signals at Phoenix Avenue and Brook Street, and rectangular rapid flashing beacons.
- The complete street phase is funded through the CT DOT LOTCIP program. The CTDOT is currently reviewing the plans and bid set for the Streetscape phase.
- A streetscaping contract was awarded to Guerrera Construction Company, Inc. and fully signed on May 24, 2021.
- The balance of items to be installed/completed includes:
- bus shelters, streetlights, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, trash cans, benches, and signalization heads.
- GCCI’s final completion date was May 19, 2022.
