Waterbury Development Corporation in conjunction with the state of Connecticut transportation is working towards the reconstruction of the intersection of Washington Ave and South Main Street. The goal of the project is to eliminate the currant dog leg design, to add pedestrian crossing a bus stop improved lighting signage and storm drainage and make the entire area safer for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
M&J Engineering has completed construction documents for this project and Waterbury Development Corporation continues to seek additional funding for project completion.
