Naugatuck Industrial Park Phase III

Naugatuck Industrial Park Phase III

  • This Project promotes both economic and community development by spurring job creation and providing site improvements. This project will complement other revitalization plans surrounding transit and the natural environment. Naugatuck will utilize funding at the Former Uniroyal site, spanning ~85 acres of land.  Ultimate end-use plans for this site include the introduction of fuel-cell pads and data centers to the site. More specifically, the establishment of a data center will change the trajectory of the lives of Naugatuck residents who are hard-working. trainable, and willing to take on the next great opportunity.
  •

The Borough of Naugatuck is seeking $8M through the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Community Investment Fund. The Borough of Naugatuck is committing $2,000,000 in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to this project as match and leverage in addition to $16,836,000 in direct investments from municipal, state, federal and philanthropic stakeholders.

  • CIF funding will support the use for the construction of permanent and temporary access roads, mass earthwork, drainage improvements, parking lot improvements and demolition activities, enabling the Borough to move forward with contracting purchase and sales agreements with the several interested parties.
